Phenylephrine: It is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels.It is used to treat nasal and sinus congestion.
Chlorpheniramine Maleate: It is a bronchodilator used to treat asthma.
Paracetamol: Paracetamol is a pain reliever and fever reducer.
Suspension: It is a cephalosporin type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.
Mode Of Action :-
Phenylephrine: It is a post-synaptic alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist that cause vasoconstriction, increases systolic/diastolic pressure and stroke output.
Chlorpheniramine: It acts primarily as a potent H1 antihistamine. It is specifically a potent inverse agonist of the histamine H1 receptor. The drug is also commonly described as possessing weak anticholinergic activity by acting as an antagonist of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.
Paracetamol: It is a weak inhibitor of the synthesis of prostaglandins (PGs).However, the in vivo effects of paracetamol are similar to that selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors. Paracetamol is thought to relieve pain by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the brain and spinal cord.
Suspension: It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
