Composition: Ceftriaxone 1mg + Sulbactam 500mg
Ceftriaxone: It is an antibiotic used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections.
Sulbactam :Sulbactam is a β-lactamase inhibitor. This drug is given in combination with β-lactam antibiotics to inhibit β-lactamase, an enzyme produced by bacteria.
Mode Of Action:-
Ceftriaxone: Ceftriaxone inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to transpeptidases, also called transamidases, which are penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) that catalyze the cross-linking of the peptidoglycan polymers forming the bacterial cell wall.
Sulbactam: Sulbactam acts as β-lactamase inhibitors, to increase the antibacterial activity of Cefoperazone against β-lactamase producing organisms.
Indications and usage:-
Ceftriaxone: The drug used to treat conditions such as:
- Respiratory tract infections
- Skin infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Pelvic inflammatory disease
- Bone and joint infection
- Meningitis
Sulbactam:
- Infections of female reproductive organ
- Skin infections
- Abdominal infection

Sulbactam:
- Vaginal itching
- Mild diarrhea
- Swollen, black tongue
