Composition:- Cefixime 200 mg + Clavulanate 125 mg
Cefixime:- It's an antibiotic. It is used to treat a number of bacterial infections.
Clavulanate:- It is a combination medicine used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria.
Mode Of Action
Cefixime:- Bactericidal action of cefixime due to the inhibition of cell wall syntheses.
Clavulanate:- It is a β-lactam drug that functions as a mechanism-based β-lactamase inhibitor. While not effective by itself as an antibiotic, When combined with penicillin group antibiotics, it can be overcome antibiotic resistance in bacteria that secrete β-lactamase.
